How to fix a hole?
Resist putting just nice pain all over it.
Make the hole deeper, broader and use sanding paper to make the surrounding abrasive.
Remove the dust with a cloth or vacuum cleaner.
Apply fine, soft, clean white material like gypsum couple of times until the hole is filled and smooth.
Wait until the hole is dry.
Use the sanding paper again to make the hole and surrounding smooth and little abrasive.
Apply nice color all over the surface as many times as needed.
(footnote: procedure can be used both for holes in the wall and holes in the soul)
